Choose which optional services can run and understand the storage used for booking and measurement.

Your choice

Optional analytics and advertising services are off unless you allow them. Rejecting optional services does not prevent you from viewing the site or booking a tour.

What are cookies and browser storage?

Cookies are small values a website or service stores in your browser. Similar technologies such as local storage remember information between visits. Some are necessary for a requested function; others measure use or advertising and require your choice.

Necessary storage

Necessary storage is always active because it supports services you request:

  • ttb-language-v1: local browser storage remembering the language you select. It is used when you open the homepage, expires after 12 months or when you clear browser data, and is not used for tracking.
  • ttb-currency-v1: local browser storage remembering the currency you select. It expires after 12 months or when you clear browser data, and is not used for tracking.
  • ttb-consent-v1: local browser storage recording whether analytics and advertising measurement are allowed. It expires from our logic after 12 months or when you clear browser data.
  • If your browser cannot save your choice, optional services stay off. The necessary ttbConsentRestriction cookie remembers that refusal for up to 12 months. The temporary ttb-consent-write-probe-v1 storage entry checks whether preferences can be saved and is immediately removed; it contains no visitor identifier.
  • Consent withdrawal recovery: The HttpOnly cookie ttbPurchaseConsent is sent only to our first-party consent-management endpoint. For up to 12 months, it remembers at most eight random consent references so prior permissions can be withdrawn even if local storage is blocked or cleared. The local key ttb-purchase-consent-restrictions-v1 keeps a bounded queue of unsent withdrawal requests until delivered or the related permission expires. These values cannot authorize bookings, payments or refunds.
  • Booking and payment recovery: a private HttpOnly cookie named tapasCheckoutSessions, kept for up to seven days, verifies your checkout sessions. The ttb-booking-attempt-v1 receipt in tab session storage keeps the original booking selection so an interrupted attempt can be checked before another payment. The receipt contains no contact or card details and is cleared after a verified completion or release, or when you close the tab.
  • Security and infrastructure: temporary values that may be used by hosting or payment providers to deliver pages securely, prevent abuse and complete a requested transaction.

Improve the site (optional)

When allowed, we load Simple Analytics to understand page visits and general website performance. We use this information to find unclear or broken journeys. This service is not loaded before you allow site improvement.

Simple Analytics is designed not to use tracking cookies for its standard page measurement. We nevertheless place it behind your choice so optional measurement remains under your control. Read the Simple Analytics privacy information.

Booking and payment measurement (optional)

With analytics permission, our server sends Google Analytics a pseudonymous client identifier, an opaque booking or transaction identifier, the tour item, verified value and currency, and confirmation, payment or refund time. We report a confirmed booking once whether you pay now or later. Its value is the full booking total, not necessarily money collected; a paid purchase is reported only after payment collection. We do not include your name, email address, phone number or card details. No optional analytics tag loads on private checkout pages. Separate advertising permission controls advertising use. On public pages, analytics permission also allows a limited landing-page path, the referring website’s origin, campaign source, medium and name, and an existing Google session identifier. Advertising click identifiers require advertising permission. This consent-bound tab record expires after 30 minutes.

After analytics permission, ttb-purchase-consent-v1 stores a random consent receipt in local storage for no longer than that choice's remaining 12 months. The ttb-purchase-context-v1 value holds pseudonymous visit context in tab session storage for up to 30 minutes, or until withdrawal, a changed choice or tab closure. Neither stores contact or card details.

Google Analytics may set _ga and _ga_<container-id> cookies. Google's default expiry is two years; browser or configured limits may be shorter. Our permission expires after at most 12 months, and refusal or withdrawal stops their optional use and removes known first-party measurement cookies.

Google Maps meeting points

The meeting-point address and map placeholder are part of our page and do not contact Google. The Google Maps iframe loads only after you select “Load interactive Google Map”. Google may then use cookies or other browser storage under its own policies. You can use the written address without loading the map.

Advertising measurement (optional)

When allowed, we load Google Ads measurement using tag ID AW-16913998140. Google may set identifiers such as cookies beginning with _gcl to connect an advert click with a later visit or booking. The tag is kept for potential future campaigns but does not load when advertising measurement is rejected.

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager delivers configured tags only when allowed. It is a tag delivery tool, not permission for every tag: optional tags must respect your separate analytics and advertising choices. Optional measurement tags are excluded from private checkout and booking-result pages.

Google Ads may use first-party identifiers such as _gcl_au and _gcl_aw, commonly kept for up to 90 days, to measure advertising. Depending on the enabled Google features and your choice, Google may also process information for personalised advertising. Provider-specific cookies and retention depend on the tags enabled; Google publishes their names, purposes and lifetimes in its advertising-cookie information.

Changing or withdrawing consent

Rejecting optional cookies gives you the same access to our website and booking service. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change or withdraw a choice. When you turn off a previously allowed category, we update your choice, remove known first-party measurement cookies and reload the page so previously loaded optional scripts stop running.

Your saved choice includes its time and notice version. We keep the same choice for up to 12 months and ask again if optional providers or purposes materially change.

Use the control at the top of this page at any time. A new choice takes effect immediately for future use. If you switch a category off, we also attempt to remove known first-party Google measurement cookies; you can clear all stored values through your browser settings.

We ask again after no more than 12 months, and may ask sooner if the services or purposes materially change.
